Thiết bị đầu cuối đầu vào kỹ thuật số KL1408 thu tín hiệu điều khiển 24 V DC nhị phân từ cấp quy trình và truyền chúng, ở dạng cách ly điện, đến thiết bị tự động hóa cấp cao hơn. Mỗi Bus Terminal chứa tám kênh cho biết trạng thái tín hiệu của chúng bằng các điốt phát sáng.
